When you book a headshot session, it’s natural to overthink what to wear. Here’s the good news: simple works best.

Choose clothes that don’t distract

Go for plain colours, simple textures, and clothes that feel like you. You want the focus to be on your face, not your outfit.

• Stick to solid colours. Neutrals like navy, black, grey, cream, and olive are reliable.
• Avoid busy patterns, logos, or shiny fabrics—they pull attention away from your expression.

Think about your type

Are you auditioning for roles that are warm and friendly, or serious and intense? Choose clothes that hint at your casting range. A soft jumper feels different from a structured blazer.

• Comedy roles? Try a relaxed look—t-shirt or open shirt.
